When I saw someone walking past with a mobile phone in hand, I thought to draw Gumshoe with a radio.
Then when I turned the page back and saw Franziska, decided to draw her. Took a risk with drawing that wild mare. D: Her whip looks a mess lol. Her body's supposed to be twisting but it's a bit neh. XD;;
I think this came out well! Fran has a few issues though from what I can tell. The position of her legs doesn't look natural to my eye, even for somebody who's twisting. Not sure how to fix it, mind. >_> It's one of those situations that you'd have to observe the actual pose being performed. Her rear arm sticks out to me, too. Perhaps it's stretched out too far? Not sure.
Looks great nonetheless, though. Both characters are well identifiable and Fran is especially characteristic. Keep it up!
It was experimental to say the least D: When I tried to fix it, nothing seemed to work. I do perhaps need to look at a pose like that before I can get it down pat. </rhyme>. I'm not sure how the arm works, but I thought it was about the length I needed it to be? xD;;
Thaaaaanks I had a feeling I could go to town on Fran's pose lol XD
Out of all your sketches, this one's my favourite, mainly because of the difference with Gumshoe's stance, it's a different pose and a good move. Brillant! I agree with TheChio about Franziska. The attempt with her legs is good, and it helps tell us the body is twisted, but maybe need to just change the arm on the right to balance it out all together! I also agree that the characters are both identifiable!
Thanks for the observations Morgan! Yeah I wanted to try a different angle on him altogether as opposed to just front all the time, glad it worked out well :3 And I'll see about tweaking Franzy's arm if I get back to this one! <.<
